I want to upgrade my old Personal Folder to a Unicode one to increase the
size of my file.

I have created a Unicode folder (and called it Mail Folder) and selected
File > Import and Export. I selected 'import from another program' and
'personal file folder'(.pst), then browsed for my outlook.pst folder. After
clicking 'next' I get 'The personal files folder (.pst) is already in use in
the current profile. I haven't been able to find out what to do next. Would
appreciate some help. (I'm using Outlook 2007 which was upgraded from an
earlier version and Windows XP).

Terry.

You copy data from old to new, then you need to set the new as the default
mail store, before removing the origonal.

Thanks for that. I have done as you suggested and can receive email into
the new inbox. The only problem now is that the new address book is empty
because my old address book file has not been moved across.

The calendar is OK.

I don't know where the address book information is stored or where to move
it across to.

Would appreciate any help with this.
Terry.

Outlook keeps all its data in the same file. It has no "address book". The
address book is a view of your Contacts. If you migrate the data correctly,
the contacts will be there. See if this helps:

Address book is simply a filtered view of your Contacts
You copied all your contacts to the new?
