I have a Dell PC that's a few years old and it has an nVidia GeForce4
MX 420 video card, which seems to be a pretty good card for most
things. However, I think I may need to upgrade in the near future
because, quite frankly, I'm not sure that it's going to be able to
handle Call of Duty 3. It could handle the original Call of Duty,
and it did a pretty good job at CoD 2 but I wasn't able to take
advantage of all the detail available in the game without bogging the
card down. I'm going to assume that CoD 3 is going to be even more
taxing on the card.
So, I'll probably need to upgrade but I don't want to spend a heap of
cash on a card. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I want something that can
handle some newer games. I don't want to lay down $250 for a card. What
would you recommend? It looks to me like just about any nVidia card
would be an upgrade from what I have now. Should I just pick something
up in the nVidia 6 line?
Thanks,
John
