I have an nt40 server with 30 users that I wish to upgrade
to windows 2000 server. I would like to do a clean
install, however, I do not wish to loose my user accounts
and user rights. What is the best way to preform the
installation without loosing my users? Thanks very much.

How to Set Up ADMT for Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 Migration

You should be aware that this method requires that a trust be set up between
the Win 2k domain and the NT 4.0 domain. If you have to keep the same domain
name, in Win 2k, you should work out renaming the NT 4.0 domain BEFORE
migrating to Win 2k. Using this "migration" method you will not be able to
rename the Win 2k domain unless you upgrade to Win 2k3.

You might want to take your time and do some research on "upgrading" vs.
"migrating". Each has it's pros and cons.
