upgrade from me to xp

I upgraded from ME to XP and I now have constant problems
with web connections and email. My ISP told me that the
upgrade probably had corrupted the TCP/IP program. How do
I fix that. Apparently, the ISP shows that I am connected
but the computer is unable to see the host.

In the Properties for the Internet connection under "Network
Connections" remov e the TCP/IP protocol. Also remove this protocol
from all other network connections and then re-add it.

Actually you cannot uninstall TCP/IP in XP but you can disable it,
reboot and re-enable it. This will fix any TCP/IP problems.
