Upgrade from ME to XP deleted favorites?

I upgaraded from ME to XP Home and now all of my
favorites are gone-dy. IE6 hasn't been touched. Is there
a way to restore them?

Unless you exported/saved favourites to a backup, unfortunately,
they are lost.

can't the prev win be restored? then export faves, then whatever to
reinstall the newer win version?

tiresome perhaps, but trying to re accumulate a stash of faves...

but, well, completely losing faves might be the best way to thin out *my*
faves! :)

Depends on "how" the upgrade was performed, if the previous files and
settings were saved, yes. Otherwise not, I'm afraid.
