Current system is XP Pro running on an AMD xp2700+, Asus A7N8X mobo, 1G
pc2700DDR

Two 40G drives configured as:

Drive 0 is FAT32 drives C: through J:
CD and CDRW are drives K: & L:
Drive 1 is NTFS drives M: & N:

XP Pro is on drive M: which is the boot drive.

I do not want to change the drive letters.

I want to get a larger (80-120G) drive and replace drives M: & N:.

I have DriveCopy and Partition Magic that I could use.

What would be the safest and best way to accomplish this?

Thanx,

Vic Baron

Hi RC -

Yes, you have my config correct. I follow what you're saying - I just
completely forgot about the good old xcopy/xcopy32 command <g>.

I'll hopefully get to it this week and will post results. I don't anticipate
any issues now that I can see what needs to be done.

Thanx,

Vic

Temporarily removed the FAT32 drive and installed the 120G as slave. Used
Partition Magic to copy and resize the old NTFS partitions to the new drive.
Removed old NTFS drive and reinstalled FAT32 drive. System booted as usual.

I am a happy camper :)
