Hi,
The company is using a Windows 2000 server as Domain Controller. There is
also a Certificate Authority installed in it. Users will get a certificate
from this via his / her web browser (http://dc/certsrv) and he or she can
send encrypted email (Exchange 2003) with our company.
As we are planning to upgrade this domain controller to Windows 2003. Do we
need to upgrade the Certificate Autohrity as well? Will the certificates
issued prior to the upgrade become invalid after the upgrade? (The fear is
that users will not be able to access encrypted messages in the past)
I saw a document in Microsoft's knowledge base (KB 325379) and mentioned
nothing about this in the document. Greatly appreciate if you could help
point us in the right direction.
Thanks a lot.
