Hello!

I'd like to upgrade BIOS rev. 1.01.E1 for big HDD support by AMI flash tool
under DOS.
Can you please send me the instructions?
It's impossible to upgrade the new firmware with flash822 under DOS...
Is there are special things to do with FLASH822? I THOUGHT it would be
automatic with "Enter"???
I need help for my association...

I tried to upgrade BIOS rev. 1.01.E1 for big HDD support by AMI "flash822"
under DOS but there is a messsage :

In the screen :

RomFileName > unknown

All the other paramatres are reconize...

Could you say me what is the problem please?

Cordially.

Larger than 82GB = Maximum 82 Go?

You need at least 2 files to upgrade the BIOS. One of them is the flashing
program (flash822?) the other is the actual BIOS file. You need to download
the proper bios file and add it to your floppy boot disk. Then the dos
command would look like:

A:\>flash822 biosx.bin

If your flashing program is "flash822" and your bios file is named
"biosx.bin" -Dave

I'm going to try : flash822 mybios.rom

would
Thanks, it works. The second file was ".rom" and no ".bin."

really?...hmmmm was this a 'dos' based program or within windows? I never
have used that type(windows), always made me nervous anticipating a windows
error or something during the install.

Glad you got it done..........

Did you download 2 (two) files?
One installer (flashx.exe)
One bios file (AMIXXX.BIN) .bin .bin .bin not .rom
Thanks, it works. The second file was ".rom" and no ".bin."
