I expected an out-of-the-box driver to come with Vista for my Phlips
ToUCam II since the advisor gives it a green check. Also no driver on
winupdate, or on Philips site. So how comes the upgrade advisor is
giving me this false sense of "it will work flawless" ?

It probably will by the time of the retail release in January and posssibly
it is in or available via update for the Vista RTM release which I assume
you do not have. If Philips has by now supplied it to MS and MS has
qualified for the VISTA RTM release Philips may release it shortly on their
Website if it will also work with RC2.

Tx for your answer. I do got the RTM , but rest assured, I will buy the
Busniness edition as soon as it hits retail. I heard that the version on
that DVD will be RTM, but with updated drivers, drivers they are
finalizing at this very moment.Happen to know if it is true?

On another note, anyone can tell me if the retail has both the X64 and
x86 avialable? I would hate to buy a second time, when i upgrade (I
think in 2008).

Contact the manufacturer to verify if the camera is or is not supported.

Are you using the latest version of the Upgrade Advisor, Build
1.0.0000000.309 "
Also there may be changes as the Upgrade Advisor goes from Beta to release.

Lastly, the Upgrade Advisor is not a guarantee of compatibility.

Thank you for your answer. Yes i use that version, the Advisor RC it is.
I will contact them ok. It is out of production though, but they sold
them a lot, and they were not cheap, so one would expect some service.

I contacted Philips about"vista"drivers for my SPC900 camera and they said
they have NO plans to release drivers at this time and also they do not yet
know what cameras they will release drivers for.
