I recently upgraded a a7v266e with a Athlon XP 2600+ processor. Although I
changed the Palomino - Duron jumpers the bios keeps telling me that the
motherboard has a Duron-processor. I've upgraded the bios ofcourse. Any
ideas?

Do you have the FSB & Multiplier set correctly?

Athlon XP 2600+ (2 FLAVORS)
AXDA2600DKV3C 2133MHz (133 x 16.0)
AXDA2600DKV3D 2083MHz (166 x 12.5)

I thought it was a jumperless motherboard. I was surprised I had to change
jumpers for a Palomino core and now I read here that I have to change
jumpers for the FSB and Multiplier?

Okay, read the manual and made the changes in the bios. No change. Any
ideas?

Problem solved. I changed the beta bios 1015 for the official bios 1011 and
know it recognizes the CPU correctly.

Well I did, but apparently you have to use an old but official bios to get
it right.
