Upgrade 32 bit Vista to the same version of 64 on AMD Turion 64 x2

Yesterday I buyed an HP Pavilion and it came with Vista Home Premium 32 on a
64 bit processor. Can you change Vista of the same or Ultimate on 64?

You cannot do an in place upgrade from x86 Vista to x64. You can use an x64
upgrade product key but it will only do a custom install. The installation
is started by booting the Vista x64 DVD. It sees the installed OS is valid
as a qualifying OS for the upgrade, then will do a custom install. Of
course you have to have a copy of x64 Vista. That you would have to get
from the computer vendor or purchase a copy.
