Hello

Sorry I didn't know if this subject would go in Hardware... sorry if it doesn't, but anyways

I want to update my BIOS, and I think I found the website where I can do it

http://www.ecs.com.tw/download/l7vmm2.ht

If that is where I can update which one of those should I download

motherboard: ECS L7VMM2 (socket A)

Hello

You need to read your mother Brd manual and download
drivers that pertain to your specific brd

When the PC boots check for the date of the bios , then you would take the
latest one
Why are you updating the bios

I'm not sure why you have decided to update your BIO's,
but let me caution you on this. If you do, when
you "flash" the BIO's make sure you follow the
manufacturers instructions to the "T" or you will end up
with a very "expensive" paper-weight that will "never"
boot up again.

Get a program, such as AIDA32, Sandra or Bel Arc Advisor to
identify your make and model or motherboard exactly. Then
get the exact BIOS update required for your mobo.

The installation can require special procedures and a power
failure during the process will make the mobo un-bootable.

What problem are you having and why do you want to update
the BIOS?

I would suggest you allow a person a bit more experienced do it for you! You
will likely disable your computer by doing it incorrectly!

This isn't 100% true. BIOS can easily be replaced and isn't horribly
expensive, but is best done at a computer shop (and I don't mean a
store like Best Buy or Circuit City).

That's much cheaper than a new system or even a new mb.
