We Live For The One We Die For The One

Uninstall the driver reboot and then install the new driver :)

Just quit all the new hardware found diologes that come up for your
videocard, then run the videocard driver you downloaded install and it
may tell you to reboot if not do so anyway and when your rebooted you
have new drivers running your card :)

I have a Radeon 9600 pro, thats the way i do it.

Go into Contol Panel-->System-->Hardware-->Scroll to Graphics and double
click to see the NVidia 5200 line-->double click--driver-->fourth choice
should be uninstall.

My steps are a little different than David's. Use whichever works best for
you.
Go into Control Panel-->System-->Hardware Tab-->Device manager button-->Go
to Display Adapters and double click to see the NVidia 5200
line-->Highlight then rightclick on NVidia 5200 ->fourth choice
should be uninstall.
When you reboot it will try to install a new driver, if it doesn't find the
new one you downloaded you may have to NOT let it find it automatically. You
will have to point it to the new driver. If so it being on a floppy
sometimes makes it easier.

Hi,

I want to download and install the latest video drivers and software for my
GeForce FX5200 video card. Nvidia's web site says to uninstall your present
driver before installing the update. What's the best way to do this?

Thanks,
Alan
