Updating/Refreshing an embedded Microsoft Excel Chart Object

Hi All,
I'm using PowerPoint 2003.

The problem that I have is that we have tables in a SQL database, that I
want to link directly to PowerPoint and update upon the presentation launch.

There is no intermediate Excel file I am populating.
So I create the object,
Import the SQL data into the object.
Data displays.
When I updaet the SQL table, the PowerPoint object does not update unless I
select the embedded object and use the refresh data item.

This solution is not feasable, since we have close to 30 graphs that need to
be auto generated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of object?  How do you create it?

================================================

The object I have embedded in PowerPoint is an Microsoft Excel Chart.
As I had stated in the orginal post, I import data from a SQL table
into the excel Chart/Worksheet.
Maybe I should clarify, this. I do not want to create a link from an
intermediate Excel File to PowerPoint.
So the only created/embedded object is the Excel Chart.

Does this help Steve?
