Updating problems

I'm having problems with updating Spyware Definition on
my main PC only, but update with no problems in my media
center. They are both running Norton Internet Security
and are protected it exactly the same way by my fire wall
execpt the Media center PC has ports 6881 to 6889
forwarded to it. The only other deffrince is that my main
PC is using .NET 2.0 Beta and my media center only using
vertion 1.0 both are fully patched. Any idears?
 
I too have experience this issue, Updating definition
freezes/lockup for a while then it comes back to normal
when updating is finish. (computer is completely
unusable when updating definition as it freezes/lockup)

workaround: just wait and be patient for the update to
finish.
 
Sometimes if you just leave it and go do some else it will eventually
update. It just seems like it is not responding but it is really obtaining
the updates.
 
My problem is that MS Spyware says it can't detect an
internet connection and thus can't get updates. Why can't
it detect my connection?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Ensure that Internet Explorer or Outlook Express is working online, open IE,
from the File menu, ensure that "Work Offline is not checked.
