I recently upgraded to XP and since doing so I cannot use
my wireless card in my desktop. If worked great with
WIN98.
I am using a Netgear MA301 PCMCIA Wireless Adapter and an
MA401 wireless card. I have received the XP drivers from
Netgear and am trying to update them.
My process is to go into Add Hardware Wizard (it doesn't
find the devices) and manually select "add new hardware"
and the I select "Network Adapters". This brings me to
the screen that has Netgear on one side a a table and my
2 devices on the other side. I select the MA301 and
click on the box for "Have Disk". Then I browse to the
correct location and select my driver file. I then
select ok and go back to the Add Hardware Wizard screen.
When I return to this screen the device list is blank,
and BACK is the only highlighted option. Why do my
devices go away, and is there a way to make this work.
Please help,
