Updating linked table to Excel destroys Excel macros.

I have an Excel application that contains multiple
Worksheets. One worksheet contains data that is linked to
a MS Access project (.mdb). The link was created in
Access through "File, Get External Data, Link Table".
Another worksheet contains Excel macros.

When I open the linked table in Access and change any
data, the macros on the Excel macro worksheet disappear.

I am running MS Excel 2000 and MS Access 2000 both with SP-
3. My applications are both located on the same server
but in different folders. The fields involved are numeric.

Anyone have any ideas??

In later versions of Excel, macros are no longer stored on spreadsheets.
Instead, they can be viewed using the VBEditor - one way to access this is
by using alt-F11.
My guess is that your Excel spreadsheet has been stored in an older version,
but that when data is updated, it gets transferred to a newer version.
