I want to save my movie out to my FTP site, which is on a Yahoo small
business server. The only entry in the list of media sharing services is
Neptune. I don't want Neptune. I want Yahoo. Please tell me how to get
Yahoo into the FTPINFO.DAT list so it will show up in my drop down menu of
media sharing sites. Thanks.

Jim,

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can add any other hosting providers
to the Send to Web wizard in Movie Maker 2. Reason being is that the Send to
Web wizard was designed for "consumer ready" video sharing services...
Neptune.com being the best/only one out there, especially for the WMV format
that Movie Maker uses.

Using the Send to Web wizard and Neptune, users can have their video
uploaded and shared with friends in 2-3 clicks (after WMM wizard is closed).
Yahoo doesn't have a consumer video sharing service, only business web
site/media hosting with business pricing.

For savvy users who have their own business web site, they can just bypass
the Send to Web wizard alltogether. Just save the video to the local drive
then upload it to your server with your own FTP client.

Send to Web wizard doesn't have any special features... still takes the same
amount of time to render a video and upload regardless.

However, WMM Send to Web does do a great job hand-holding novice users that
are completely new to the concept of putting a video online to share with
friends and family.

hope that helps.

James is right... neptune worked their uploading relationship out with
Microsoft... for others such as Yahoo you have to save the movie to your
hard drive and use whatever the service (Yahoo) provides to get it up to
their server. The method varies by the service.
