Updating Form Content

I have created a template and protected it. A users can
create a new document using this template, fill in the
form and save it fine. However, users cannot re-open a
saved document and change the values they previously
entered. Did I do something wrong when I setup the form?

They should be able to. What happens when they try? Which
version of Word is this? did you create the form using the
Forms or the Controls Toolbox toolbar?
