i have the option of updating my driver, I don't know if that will solve my
problem of my "out of date" driver, even though it says it's working fine.
but anyways, on the Hardware Update Wizard, I try to update but it can't
complete, it says i need a cd or a floppy disk, does anyone know which one
that is?

v.s.,

If Device Manager shows that your hardware is "working fine," as you say,
why do you want to update? If it ain't broken, don't fix it. That's a very
good old saying.

If I don't understand your concern, please post back and explain what
hardware is not functioning properly and what the error message is that
you're seeing.

i play counter-strike source, if you know that game, on STEAM, before i can
play it it says my video driver is out of date, I've tried updating it but no
success. I can play my game but only for a few minutes before the game shuts
down by itself

Go to the manufacturer of your Video Card OR the manufacturer
of your system and look for an updated video driver for your
model.

Type the word Device in the Start menu's Start Search box. Click on Device
Manager in the results list. In Device Manager expand "Display adapters",
and then double click on your video device. On the Driver tab, Copy your
Driver Provider info, and Paste it into your response to this post. Also,
do the same for Driver Version. It should look something like this example:

Driver Provider: ATI Technologies Inc
Driver Version: 8.765.4.3

Also be sure to report the actual name for the video device under "Display
adapters" in Device Manager, for example "ATI Mobility Radeon X600". Maybe
a better driver can be found that will satisfy STEAM.

Note, too, that a driver update must be compatible with your Operating
System. Are you running Vista?
