Updating a multi user form

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am a newbie and need
some advice.I am currently running Access 97.

I have a database that sort of acts as a check-in board.
I have 16 different agents who enter in their clientelle
being seen for the day (and other data). I have it so
that the receptionist has a daily form with a yes/no box
that she checks when a customer arrives for an
appointment. In another form for each individual agent, I
have that same box so they can see when their customers
arrive. It seems to work out fine. However, as you can
imagine, people are being checked in by the receptionist,
and new people for the day are being entered in by the
agents at any given time. What is the best way to update
everything so the receptionist gets to view new people
entered (in a timely manner--hoping every 5 mins) and
agents get to see fairly quickly that their customer has
arrived? What would be the most efficient way to
accomplish this so it wouldn't cause too much traffic for
the network? By the way, i do have it set front-end and
back end. Thanks for your help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Try placing code in the OnTimer event of the form that
will requery each form at the desired interval.
