Why don't you just make those columns the primary key (a PK can have
more than one column) & then re-link the table to the Access front-end.
Then the table will be updateable.
If you don't have any control over the table:
When you use the Get External Data menu item to link the ODBC table,
Access usually asks for the tables unique columns. Select the 2 columns
that uniquely identify the record from the dialog box that displays the
table's columns.
