I am using a field to count the number of words in a document that
must be limited to 1000 words.

Is there a technique to update without inserting a new field each time
as I am doing at present?

Thanks

Hi Robin,

Select the field and press F9

Why not just assign the WordCount command a shortcut key. There's no need to
insert or update anything then?!
