I have a Dell Poweredge 2600 server with a Perc 4/DI RAID controller, the
server is running with Window 2000 lastest
service packs. I am trying to upgrade the Perc 4/DI controller driver to the
lastest, but for some reason the
device manager is telling me that the driver that is installed is a suitable
driver. I called Dell they had me try to update 3 differnet ways, but no luck.
Has anyone out there see this one before?

Thanks,
Jason

Dave,

Thanks for the response, yes I try that and it read the floppy that has the
Perc driver and tells me it updated it, but after the reboot it show the old
driver version still.

I also tried extracting the Perc driver to a temp direct and having the
Device Manager look for the driver there and still doesn't work.
Dell has a tool that will update the driver without using the Device
Manager, but it doesn't work ether.

Any thing else I can try, beside a re-install!

Seems odd does it also require a firmware upgrade? Just curios but what
problems is the existing driver causing? You might be ahead to leave it be.
