I have been trying to keep my Updates, but when I download Updated, my
systems thinks it has Windows XP Office, which I don't, I have Windows XP
Home, so I have a lot of failures on the downloads.

How do I correct my system to not reflect XP Office, but to state that it
has XP Home.

Please, keep it as simple as possible, I kinda new to this.

Windows XP Home is the Operating System. Office is a separate software
package (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) that my have been installed on your PC
by the Vendor. The most recent version of Windows XP is Service Pack 2
(SP2).

The two most recent versions of Office are called Office XP (also know as
Office 2002) and Office 2003.

Windows XP and Office XP are two different things. Do you have
Excel, Word, Powerpoint? If so then you do have Office XP and it
should be updated.

Windows XP Office - no such product.

There is Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office XP
(the 'office' suite of products).

Maybe you're downloading the wrong updates?
