by the taskbar saying "wrong diskette is in the drive, please insert diskette
%2 (labelled %3) into drive %1." Please could someone tell me how to correct
this.

Hi Nick

I haven`t seen this problem for over a month now. What version of WD are you
using? Help>About WD. Latest is:

WD: 1.1.1347.0
Eng: 1.1.1441.0
Defs: 1.14.1468.9 - latest at time of posting but will change soon.

Hi Stu, i'm using these versions which i downloaded from microsoft this
morning:
WD Version: 1.1.1347.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1303.0
Definition Version: 1.0.0.0

OK. You might like to try this previously posted by Steve Dodson [MSFT] in
this NG.

1) Uninstall WD thru Add and Remove Programs

2) Launch cmd prompt (Start>Run).

3) Copy and Paste: MsiExec.exe /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-3874BBD4C2C}

4) Delete all contents of Directory of C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates

5) Reinstall WD

N1ck:

It looks like the initial delivery of WD. When you first install WD, that
are the versions. However, at the time of installation, it asks you if you
want to Download Definition Updates and then perform a Scan. What did you
say?

You can also update the definitions by using Microsoft Update or using Get
Updates from WD.
