Seemed to work fine until todays updates came out. I
made sure I had the correct file in place but it is doing
the same as before, downloading and trying to install the
files every time the update is run. I manually updated
the files and it now shows that they are the most recent.

I have the same problem with the update, upon trying all
the fixes in the forum with no favorable results. I
uninstalled my msas and in doing so I noticed that
microsoft has a very poor uninstaller, leaving about 14
program files and about 96 registry files still remaining
on my computer. I ran windoctor and regseeker and
regcleaner, all found many extra files left behind. I
deleted everything I found. I rebooted and went to
microsoft and downloaded a new copy of msas. Installed it
and it did the same thing with the update, so I am stumped
and will wait for a patch to repair it. I also deleted all
my temp and prefetch files. Unless you got any
other suggestions. Maybe the definitions themselves are
the problem.
