I have the same sort of issue as Don earlier in the post.
I managed to get SP1 on a disk from Microsoft when it was
originally released, but since then my Windows XP hasn't
been updated, basically because I've got a pay per minute
dial up connection and can't afford to leave the phone
line tied up for hours (and its also pretty expensive to
boot). Although I have a 56k modem, the phone connection
is lucky to work at 34k but even that isn't going to
download 10 Mb and more of updates without taking all day
about it.
Anyone, help!!!!!!!
