updates

Has anyone figured out why all of a sudden "updates"
doesn't work anymore? Auto updates or manual updates.
Error massage is it cannot get an internet connection. I
have been running the program for a full month without a
problem until now.

I haven't heard of norton products interfering with autoupdates, but if they
add firewall functionality, this is possible. To test, pause the firewall
functionality--I believe this is possible with the products I've looked at,
and try a manual update.

It's also possible for the update function to fail apparently because of
server issues, and for reasons I haven't been able to spot yet.

I too am having the same problem. Downloaded new
updates, and now can't download anything. The program
says it can't find an internet connection. Someone
please help!!

Where do you find the manual updates?? I have looked all
over and can't find them, since I am having the same
problem as you all.

There is no manual update process. I don't believe there are any new
updates as of this writing, although definition updates have been coming
roughly weekly, so there may be one due before long.

You can do a manual update by going to the tool bar &
selecting File, Check For Updates.

Actually, I have heard that it is possible to replace the definition files
manually--the files to use are covered in this KB article:
