I bought a used laptop from a company that replaces
there's every so often, great machine it has windows 2000
pro. However I don't think anyone ever did a update on the
windows 2000 pro ever.... so can I do service pack 4 and
get it up to date and current or is there a need to down
load each service pack seperately? I have tried to down
load the updates several times and it disconnects or stops
mid down load not to mention with my dail up it is saying
I have 36 hours to down load it all, also is it best to
use express in this situation or the one were the files
are archived I have been trying to get this done for four
days now your my last resort thank you so much feel free
to e-mail me at (e-mail address removed)

Win2K SP4 is a cumulative update, excepting Security Update MS03-026, which you
must do separately, before or after.

You can download it as a file - 132M. I wouldn't do the express download on
dialup, if that gets interrupted, what do you do then? Do you have access to a
network anywhere? Download and put on CD-ROM.

Dialup sucks. I know - I've been there.
