Hello All -

I would like to know if there is a way to run a software
update and schedule a scan during a logged off period?
It seems that the scan will only run when the computer is
logged on.

These computers are all clients to a domain. I would
like to have the antispyware update / scan run during the
evening hours when users are logged off.

The build I am using is 1.0.615

Should I be using a group policy, a windows scheduled
task, or what? I know setting the update and scan within
the software only works when the user is logged in.

Why not take advantage of the processors downtime.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Cheers,

This just isn't possible with the current beta product. That's one reason
for the warning against installing it on production workstations.

Hi,

As Bill Sanderson has written this is not possible now - current Beta 1 runs
as a process in user mode, not as a system service.
Besides, after the releasing of full version of MSAS there will be a
corporate, manageable (through MMC and GPO) version, however not free of
charge.

Hi Mikolaj & Bill -

Thank you for the replies. I have no choice but to wait
for a release version.

Check back when Beta2 is released. There will be significant changes, but
whether they'll reach the point you need I'm not sure.
