updates from WSUS

If you are using a WSUS server does Defender automatically check with that
server for updates, when you click on the check for updates button?

After the initial check for updates - how do you check for updates?

Yes--it should pick them up as available from WSUS, via automatic update.

There is a manual trigger available--Help, about, check for updates.

Or--see my other reply to you in these groups about the scheduler--another
method is:

\program files\windows defender\mpcmdrun SignatureUpdate <enter>

at a cmd prompt.
