Are you using a broadband connection. If so, make
certain you aren't using a splitter to connect your
computer to a cable outlet that also is connect to a
digital video recorder (i.e., Tivo, DVR from Time Warner
Cable, etc.). If this is the case, disconnect the
digital video recorder, and try again. The digital video
recorder is always storing a TV show's data even when
it's turned off, and this will cause an intermitant lose
of your Internet connection.
If this applies to you, see if your cable company can
install a cable outlet for your cable modem or router
(wireless).
Also make certain that if you are running a wireless
connection make certain that WiFi Connection is disabled
in Tools > Real-time Protection > Internet Agents, as
this has caused people peoblems in the past who are
running on a wireless network. If you are directly
connected (i.e., with an Ethernet cable) to the wireless
router, then this should not apply to you.
Also, are you running a router and a software firewall,
or are you running two software firewalls? If you are
running two software firewalls, remove one of them. as
this is likely the cause of the problem. It's NEVER a
good idea to run two firewalls or two AV products on the
same system, as this can lead to hard to diagnose
conflicts.
