I tried to do an update tonight on Microsoft Anti-spyware.
A BLOCK or PERMIT sign popped up about allowing some site
with the name GIANT in it ... I said BLOCK and now I can't
use the program updater ... says it can't find server. I
can't see where anything is listed as blocked ... tried
uninstalling and reinstalling ... still can't get it to
work.

Any ideas ... maybe something to tweak in regedit???

Thanks

Have you checked the settings of the software firewall you use (as it is
probably the application that has showed that block/permit pop-up)?

Microsoft bought their anti-spyware program from Giant Software and some of
the programs still carry the Giant name. Unblock the updater in your
firewall.

Select "Real Time Protection", then select "View Blocked Events". Then you
can select the Giant Updater and tell MAS to unblock.
