updateing to IE 7 from IE 6

I am trying to update to Internet Explorer 7 from Internet Explorer 6 but it
won’t let me.
I have followed the help info that was on my desktop and nothing seams to
work.
I have turned off my antivirus and firewall and still nothing,
What am I doing wrong?
Please help!

Not a good idea if you are not a tester with a second computer to play on.
Try the below for IE7 problems - if you try to revert back to IE6 you may
find there are other problems.

Boot into Safe Mode and try there.
First, are you ready to lose everything on your hard drive, format and
reinstall?
