Hi,

Sorry to repost my old topic but it took me a few days to
try a suggestion that a user gave and which at the end it
didn't solve my problem. Could please someone help me?

Thanks in advance...

problem could be with the system files. You can try
sfc /scannow from the dos prompt. It will repair and
reinstall all the corrupted system files. Before starting
this procedure ensure that you close all the background
process.

Suggestion/idea only

Go to: Control Panel > Display > Appearance Tab > Effects Button and *disable*
(uncheck) the transition effects....

Thanks for your idea. Unfortunately that didn't help
either. I realized that windows explorer now crashes not
only with a right-mouse click but also if i try to open
the "File" menu from the menu item bar. Again windows
explorer crashes without showing the menu. My system is
clean from spyware/viruses and i have all the latest
microsoft updates installed (apart from SP2).

Sorry I couldn't help, but like I said it was only an idea.
The only other think I can think of if there is anything in the event viewer to
id the problem
Click Start, select Run and type: eventvwr.msc
See if there is anything under application - like an error.
Then start a new thread with the error message.
