Updated Vista now says my Product Registration has expired

After I updated to the lastest Vista update it asked me to reboot my system.
Once I did this it came back and said my product registration has expired.
When I try and enter the product code it says that code is already in use.
Any ideas? Will not allow me to call tech support unless I pay $59.
 
Try again to have it automatically activated. If it fails again then you
will have an option of doing activation by phone, select this, phone
number will be displayed and make a call by that number.
