updated table field list does not come up for subform

I added a new field in a table that is linked to a
subform. I want to add the new field to the subform but
the field does not show up in the field list. How can I
add this field to the subform?

Open the Form that you're using as a subform in design view; view the
form's Properties. On the Data tab click the ... icon by the first
property, the Record Source. A query design grid will open (possibly
after a prompt from Access).

Add the new field and close the window, and accept Access' offer to
save the SQL. Your new field will now be available.
