I have bought a new PC, Motherboard, videocard, memory
and Processor.
Of course I do not want to loose all my settings,
installations and data, so I took my old HD and put it in
the new PC.

Problem enters!

Win XP do not want to start.
It complaints that I have changed too many h/w items.
It is Win XP that tells me this.

How do I solve this without having to reinstall WIN XP
and all the programs, settings etc?

URGENT.

If you get hits warning before you get the Windows XP Splash screen (the
screen that says "Windows XP" and a progress ticker in blue is in motion) -
it is your system warning you. If it happens afterward, it is XP that is
complaining to you.

Did you completely trade out the drive in the new computer, or did you just
add it to an existing system that already has a HD? If there is already a
hard drive (you have more than one connected to the computer), be sure you
have the master/slave/single jumper switches on the hard drives set
correctly.

good luck!

Robert;
A Repair Installation is required to properly detect the new hardware.
Repair Installation:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_repair_install.htm
Windows Updates will need to be reinstalled.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
Install Service Pack first and by itself.
Then install ALL Critical Updates no more than 4 at a time,

Disconnect the network/modem cable before starting repair and do NOT
reconnect the cable until repair is completed and firewall is
installed/enabled.

You defiently need to enter BIOS,exit page, select, load
set-up defaults, then save changes and exit BIOS.
You also need to install xp cd,boot to cd,recovery,
press enter key if asked for password,in recovery type:
CHKDSK C: /R
When its thru, type:EXIT Remove cd,Then let xp load for
boot-up.

The drivers from the old system are incompatible with your new system,
hence it won`t start.
You Must do a Repair install. Boot from your XP CD and select a Repair
install to replace drivers so it will work on new system.

You really should have done a sysprep on the old system before
installing on new system, which would have removed old drivers for
you!
