Good Day

Last night I bought dragon 2 Soyo motherboard, and a P4
2.8 chip with 512 DDR ram.

I installed it all and transferred my harddrive and
Geforce 4 graphics card form my old computer over.

When I boot, using safe mode, the computer does a had
reboot at the file in the bootpartition called Mup.sys.

Does anyone know what this file does, and how I might be
able to get around it into safe mode so that I can set all
the new hardware drivers.

Cheers

Mike

You will not be able to fix this in Safe mode. You will need to do a XP
repair install on top of your installed XP. XP detects several motherboard
components, when it was first installed. It generates a unique machine ID,
used for the product activation. Since you changed the motherboard, this ID
will need to be redone.
