Hello, I can´t update the service Pack 1 because it can´t
find any product key but i´ve found one...I wonder if you
can change the product key to a one that works..can you
see anywhere what the original productkey is?

Hi,

The key used to install the system is hidden, though there are utilities
that can extract it. If you get an error message about a bad PK when
installing SP1, then you need to do a repair installation with a legitimate
PK. Follow these steps to do a repair install which should preserve your
data, settings, and programs:

1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM
drive.
2. Restart your computer. If you have to, change the BIOS settings to start
from
the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer again.
3. At the "Welcome to Setup" page, press ENTER.
4. Press F8 to accept the Licensing Agreement.
5. Use the arrow keys to select the installation of Windows XP that you want
to
repair, and then press R to start the automatic repair process.
6. When Setup is completed, activate Windows XP.

Does it fit this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326904
If it does, you most likely have a pirated Windows XP Pro.
If it is pirated, you need to contact the seller and/or Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/reporting/default.asp
One of the features of Service Pack 1 is to detect pirated copies of
windows XP.
Also you have 3 options to become legal:
1. Go back to the previous OS:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303661
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314052
This may or may not work depending on the installation options used.
2. Perform a Clean Install with the OS of your choice destroying ALL
data.
3. Purchase Windows XP Pro (Home will not work) and perform a Repair
Installation using the new valid key and CD:

Rick,

Call me an old sceptic, but I don't think he has a Windows disc. This is
the clue "but I've found one." Sounds to me that he's found it on the 'net
somewhere...
