Update to newer version of .dll file

I'm trying to update oleaut32.dll to a newer version. I'm having a problem
with some software and one of the solutions is to make sure that the
oleaut32.dll versions are the same on all my computers on the network. I
have one version (that I think is the latest) running on an XP Pro machine.
All other boxes are Win 2000 Pro with an older version. When I try to copy
the version from the XP machine to the system32 folder on a 2000 machine, I
get an error that says oleaut32.dll is in use. Is there a way to
update/upgrade this file?
