I have read through most of these posts and haven't found anything that
answers this Q yet.

I have WinCP pro SP2. I did NOT have Movie maker installed. Windows update
would not give me th option to download it. I downloaded version 2.0 and
installed it. Win update still does not offer to update it. I have tried
all the suggestions I've read about without success.

Do I really need to reinstall SP2? Does this mean I need to run Win update
after reinstalling SP2 to get all the updates since SP2 was released?

If you go to...Start / Run...and enter...moviemk.exe...
it will launch Movie Maker. Then go to...Help / About...
to find your version. The current version is:2.1.4026.0

If you are running WinXP SP2 and do not have the
current version...the following info may help you to
install it.

If the previous articles did not work for you
the only option I'm aware of is to reinstall SP2
and all related updates. You can download
a copy of SP2 from the following site.
