Real Alternative v1.31

Overview :

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files. This way you
can play RealAudio and RealVideo files without having to install
RealPlayer. You do need a player that is capable of playing RealMedia.
The included Media Player Classic supports it and works very well.
Supported: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi
..smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp), RealMedia embedded in webpages.
..smi and .smil files sometimes only play the first part of a clip. This
is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic.

What's New:

- Updated Media Player Classic to version 6.4.8.3
- Updated RealMedia splitter to version 1.0.1.0

Hy,

is it only my experience, that RealAlternative has a big quality
loss compared to original codec? I've seen so especially on highly
compressed files (maybe of older codec versions?), butven current
files with a bit less compression look blurry. I only tried a few,
but then uninstalled and sticked with bloated original (and only
use for RealMedia).

Hi Thorsten;

I've used RealAlt for the past month mainly for video feeds and radio
streaming. I haven't noticed any degredation in quality. Are you using
the default set up?

Fwiw, I haven't used real audio products since....what...late nineties.

regards,
-Sparky
