Update Q330994+ Outlook Xpress

Hi, I recently installed this recommended update from Microsoft but had to
un-install it as it prevented Outlook Express from connecting to my Service
provider. I have tried it a couple of times and it definitely is the culprit
as things go back to normal when I un-install. Anyone else had this problem
and more to the point any solutions? Thanks

Didn't get any error messages, it just kept trying to connect and failing.
No, I didn't disable my antivirus,it didn't seem appropriate when I was
downloading from the internet and I don't believe I would have had an
opportunity as it installs immediately? Are you saying I should disable the
antivirus whilst on line?

Thanks so much, I have downloaded the patch again with firewall and
anti-virus disabled and that has cured the problem, many thanks,
