Update Problems

Windows automatic update keeps trying to force IE7 on me, I don't want it, I
think IE6 is much better. I have no idea what automatic update is going to
update me with. I spent 5 days removing VISTA, I have used every operating
system since Windows 3.1 and I think Windows Vista is HORRIBLE.

I agree with you, sorry microsoft...I have had nothing but problems with I.E.
7 and the updates. After "upgrading" to I.E. 7, my corel draw will crash in
the middle of a project not allowing me to save anything first. After the
first update for I.E. 7, I can no longer put my computer in stand-by or it
will freeze up and cause me to restart...I downloaded firefox and flock (it
is like firefox with a really great toolbar for photobucket) Both Firefox and
Flock can run circles around I.E. 7 as far as speed goes and best of all, I
can have more than one tab open without the browser crashing or freezing up
on me. The only reason I keep I.E. 7 is because there are still some sites
that aren't compatible with Firefox or Flock, although that is getting better.

And yes, I downloaded the windows live toolbar along with windows live mail.
I do like the windows live mail with the photo gallery. That works very nice,
I love being able to check all of our emails without having to go to each
site and login, and then I can go to window live spaces without logging in
again and I like the photo gallery because I can upload my photos into win
live spaces as a batch instead of one at a time...but I.E. 7 has been nothing
but a headache.

Strange----I installed IE7 when it was first available and have NEVER had a
single problem with it. I think it's great
especially with the TAB feature.

I have been unable to install KB944786 despite having Windows Live Toolbar
installed. The installation fails each time with error code 800706043
displayed. I've followed instructions to address the error code however this
does not resolve the issue and allow the installation to proceed corrrectly.

Your help is appreciated.
