I was using NT4, Explorer 6 service pack 1.Logging on
yesterday took me to the update page. I installed the
latest update patch offered on the update page. It
semingly has killed Explorer 6. It now just sits there
with an hour glass and you cannot access communications
when going into options. I had a previous 5.5 version so I
uninstalled 6 and 5.5 works (which is why I can write
this). So then I figured from the update page I would
reload 6 but it gave the same problem. So now I am back on
5.5. Loading the patch must have corrupted something, it
produced an icon with squiggle line below which is
programming, and when I try to shut down I get the
message" Application failed to materialise because the
windows station is shutting down" Yet a reboot was
necessary to make the patch work. Should I download the
patch again? help please
