Update or Cancel Update Error

Occasionally, when the user edits a record, an error message 3020 is received
as follows:
"Update or CancelUpdate Without Addnew or Edit"
It does not matter what the user does next, the message keeps popping up.
The only way to stop this is to close the entire data base by clicking on the
top right hand X to exit.
Can anyone advise why this happens and a solution?

Do you have VBA code that is running in a form's events?

It sounds that way but without further information I doubt that anyone
can diagnose the problem and propose any specific cures.

I am having the same problem as described in the original post. I have VBA
code that runs with the "On Current" for forms and when certain fields are
updated.
 
I forgot to add that this error occurs after I use the Wizard to add a Combo
Box that searchs for a particular record and I then use that box to search
for a record.
