I received a mailing from the Open team that the newest version of this
excellent office suite is available:

OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 is now ready for download. The latest release
contains bug fixes, new features and security patches that increase
security, MS Office compatibility, stability, performance and
accessibility.

The security patches fix vulnerabilities that have been found in
internal security audits. Although these vulnerabilities have not been
found among our users so far, we highly recommend that you upgrade to
the new version as a preventative measure. For details of the security
issues fixed, see Security Bulletin 2006-06-29:

Please allow us to make you aware that Sun Microsystems is glad to
gather / evaluate error reports and participate as a major contributor

Do you know whether:

(1) The whole 90+ MB has to be downloaded, or is there an incremental
update patch?

(2) If the whole prog needs to be downloaded and re-installed, can one
install over 2.0.2, or should the existing installation be uninstalled
first?

Re. 1. Uhm, it's worse... it's 92 MB now

Re. 2. Can't tell you at the moment; I started the download, but had to
leave, and the download was frozen upon my return 10 minutes ago, so I
had to re-download the whole thing again. I will install it later tonight
over the old one; but I guess - in order to keep the user settings - that
is what is expected!

Funny... I received the notification of the availability of the stable
version just prior to posting te message here; at the OO page they do
mention an unstable version though, perhaps that version is the oneyou
mean?
