I use a PII 350Mhz processor to run Windows XP Pro. It has been working
well even though this is the bare minimum processor according to Microsoft.
I was thinking of upgrading my processor, hopefully to a PIII, but I need to
update my motherboard BIOS.

I have the recommended BIOS downloaded from Gateway. But their instructions
are for Win 98. According to Gateway ( I tried anyway and they are right.),
this BIOS installation program from Intel will not work on a bootable floppy
created with XP.

How do I install this BIOS? What I need is a boot disk created w/Win 98 but
with my system files. How do I create a boot disk formated with Win 98?

Thanks for your help.

1) Borrow a friend's Windows 98 computer to create a DOS boot disk.
or
2) Download one from http://www.bootdisk.com
